Pastoral Team
Frankie Hyoungjin Kim
Senior Pastor
Frankie Kim was born and raised in South Korea before moving to Canada in 2009 to pursue his calling of becoming a pastor by studying theology. While initially intending to prepare for missionary work with his wife, he felt called to start a pastoral ministry instead.
In 2015, Frankie graduated from Tyndale Seminary in Toronto and moved to Pelly to begin his pastoral work. Over the course of seven years, he and his family witnessed God's great work in Pelly, discovering that the town offered more opportunities for ministry than Toronto. These included visits to Bible camps, Bible colleges, and the local First Nations Reserve. Recently, they began a new pastoral role at our church.
Frankie is a dedicated student of theology and the Bible, having earned a Master of Theological Studies in Biblical Green concentration from Tyndale Seminary in 2015, and a Master of Theology (Anabaptist Discipleship: Progressive Sanctification and the Role of Community) from North-West University in South Africa in 2022. He is also currently pursuing a PhD in Historical Theology at the University of the Free State in South Africa.
Apart from his ministry, Frankie has a passion for music and is skilled at playing several instruments. He also enjoys watching historical dramas and Marvel films.
He is happily married to his wife Minju, who works as a pharmacy assistant at Canora Pharmacy, and together they have a beautiful daughter named Choah who is currently in 8th grade.
Overall, Frankie is a devoted pastor and scholar who is committed to serving God and his community through his ministry and ongoing studies.
Jennifer Loewen
Associate Pastor
After completing degrees at Ambrose and University of Calgary, Jennifer moved to Yorkton to marry Dean and they have made Yorkton Alliance their home since February 2010. Jennifer joined the staff team in August 2017 and is passionate about discipling our children and youth so they, too, will have a dynamic faith in Jesus. Dean and Jennifer have 2 boys together. Between them, they also have 4 adult children and 10 grandchildren. When not at the church, Jennifer enjoys baking bread and other goodies, and is easily coaxed into cards or board games, or just sitting around engaging in deep conversations.
